Graffic Beat is based in Brisbane, Australia and is an all-encompassing venue for things hip hop and hip hop related. It’s a warehouse with legal walls for graffiti artists to get up without the hassles of street bombing. We hold all ages events every Saturday night with MCs and DJs showcasing their talents. We also have breakers come in and practice in our venue and are hoping to have workshops and a battle scene for breaking up and running in the very near future. There’s a recording studio here for anyone wanting to jump in and produce some tracks using our programs or record their vocals. And after any live performances, the mic is open to anyone willing to let their voice be heard. We’re all about getting the people that dont get heard, heard by the hip hop public. We’re keen for people who have never performed before to get up on the mic and encourage the youth to express themselves. Youth identify with hip hop and we give them that outlet. In the warehouse, we also have a half basketball court and a couple of pool tables so people can also entertain themselves.
